Coalition’s pledge to seniors
National Seniors has welcomed the Coalition’s pledge to index the income limits on the Commonwealth Seniors Health Card and introduce an employer incentive payment for older workers if they are voted into government.

Loneliness a major health risk
US researchers have found that loneliness has a health risk equal to alcohol and cigarettes. According to the study, people who lack interaction with friends and family are just as likely to risk an early death as heavy drinkers and smokers.
