Your Vote Matters
In 2010 retirees are still reeling from the effects of the global financial crisis; pensioners are battling rising living costs; older workers can't get a job. Nursing home staffing shortages are at crisis level and 600,000 Australians are waiting for dental treatment.
These issues need addressing.
Alone we’re one. Together we’re over 6 million or 45 percent of the voting population.
These election demands, Seniors Vote 2010, come from you, the grassroots. This is your voice and your chance to make a difference.
Your vote matters because the over-50s are every bit of Australia. We’re mums and dads; teachers and doctors; artists and musicians; journalists and yes, even politicians.
From looking after grandkids to providing financial help in a crippling housing market, seniors are an integral part of today’s working family.
We built this Australia and we will hand it on to our grandchildren, who themselves will grow old.
Right here, right now, we have the power to make this a better world not only for ourselves but for them.
Stand up. Be heard. Join the campaign.
